Our No-Salt Conditioner vs. Water Softeners
The EasyWater® No-Salt Conditioner™ is a water conditioning system, not a water softener. What’s the difference? Salt softeners use a process known as ‘ion exchange’ to soften water. Ion exchange is the process whereby healthy, beneficial minerals such as calcium and magnesium are removed from the water, and replaced with twice the amount of sodium. In fact, the sodium is what gives softened water that ‘slippery’ feel. While this process does help with controlling scale build-up, it does not completely prevent it, nor does a salt water softener remove existing scale.
Our No-Salt Conditioner™ does not remove the healthy, beneficial minerals from the water, nor does it add salt, chemicals, or anything else to the water. Instead, the EasyWater® No-Salt Conditioner™ is engineered to change the shape and behavior of minerals and remove their electrostatic charge. As a result, not only will new scale be prevented, but existing scale build-up is eliminated from your plumbing, water heater, fixtures, and water-using appliances.
