FREIJE Announces Release of New EasyWater System

For Immediate Release

May 27, 2008 – Greenfield, Indiana.   FREIJE Treatment Systems, manufacturer of EasyWater 1000 and EasyWater 2000, two of the most popular alternatives to traditional salt water softeners, announced today the release of its newest product, EasyWater 3500.    The EasyWater 3500 is a more powerful system for homes with larger water mains, (between 1 ½-2” pipes).  Additionally, the EasyWater 3500 removes and prevents scale buildup commonly found in the heating units and pipes of pools and spas.

“Because of the huge success of our other EasyWater systems, we’ve created a larger unit that can eliminate the costly problems for families with larger homes that have large water mains, as well as those who own pools or spas,“ said Bill Freije, President and Owner of FREIJE Treatment Systems.

After over 20 years in the commercial and industrial water treatment business, two years ago, FREIJE Treatment Systems expanded its business into the residential industry, using the same, proven technology to create the popular EasyWater 1000 and EasyWater 2000.   “Besides the proven success of our units, another big reason why more homeowners are choosing our system over traditional water softeners to condition their hard water, is because they no longer want to put salt or chemicals in their water,” added Freije.  “EasyWater is better for your health, the environment, and can extend the life of appliances.”

EasyWater systems can save homeowners over $250 per year in salt costs.  Additionally, those wishing to “go green” can conserve as much as 6,200 gallons of water annually by using an EasyWater system over traditional salt water softeners.  All units are also maintenance free and have been made easy to install for homeowners or authorized local dealers.

The corporate headquarters of FREIJE Treatment Systems, manufacturer of EasyWater, is located in Greenfield, Indiana, just outside Indianapolis.  Our call center is open from 8am-11pm, E.S.T. or learn more at www.easywater.com

NEW EASYWATER™ CONDITIONING SYSTEM CAN REDUCE HOME WATER USE
BY 6,240 GALLONS A YEAR & MAKES HOME WATER HEALTHIER
Could save Louisville 374 Million Gallons of Water a Year

INDIANAPOLIS -- February 11, 2008 – A new water conditioning system being introduced in Louisville can help consumers reduce their sodium intake and water use by treating their water with the EasyWater™ System rather than a traditional salt-type water softener.  EasyWater saves water and eliminates the harmful discharge of salt into wastewater.

“Salt-type water softeners add a significant amount of sodium into water, which is why some doctors advise patients with high blood pressure not to drink or even shower in salt-softened water, since your skin absorbs water,” said Jim Goad, director of residential division for EasyWater.

A recent report from the World Health Organization is asking governments to reduce daily recommended sodium consumption to 2,000 milligrams per day (about one teaspoon).  Americans are estimated to consume about twice that amount now.

In addition to providing health benefits, the EasyWater System is environmentally friendly. “Wastewater treatment plants do not remove the salt discharged by water softeners, so most all  the salt ends up in streams, rivers or aquifers,” said Goad.  “Portions of several states including Texas, California, Michigan, Massachusetts and Connecticut have banned or restricted the use of salt-type water softeners.”

Installing the EasyWater System to replace a traditional water softener could save the average family about $200 per year in salt costs and about 6,240 gallons of water per year since no regeneration occurs.  In areas hardest hit by drought conditions the water usage savings could have a large impact on both consumers and the environment.

Unlike salt-type water softeners, the EasyWater System creates a physical change to water using no salt, chemicals or filters.  The system retains beneficial calcium and magnesium minerals in the water, but prevents the minerals from forming deposits in water-using appliances.

“If just 60,000 households in the Louisville area switched to the EasyWater System from traditional water softeners consumers would use approximately 374 million fewer gallons of water each year,” Goad said.

The EasyWater system can be installed by a home owner in about an hour and requires no plumbing.  Step-by-step instructions for installation are included with each EasyWater System purchase.  The EasyWater System is available through the EasyWater Web site www.easywater.com or by calling (888)766-7258.  The product will be available soon through selected Louisville-area plumbing companies as well.

The EasyWater 1000 model retails for $849 and is recommended in applications with ¾” to 1” pipe and one to 20 grains per gallon (gpg) of water hardness.  The EasyWater 2000 water conditioner is recommended in ¾” to 1¼” pipe and water hardness of 20 to 100+ gpg and retails for $1,299.  The EasyWater 1000 uses about the same energy as a 13-watt light bulb while the 2000 model uses about the same energy as a 20-watt light bulb.

The EasyWater System is a product of Freije Treatment Systems.  The company has been a leader in environmentally sustainable water treatment for commercial and industrial markets since 1986 and recently adapted the technology for residential use.  For more information about the EasyWater treatment systems visit www.easywater.com

FREIJE Treatment Systems, Inc. to offer environmentally-friendly water softeners to Beazer Homes customers in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (August 7, 2007) – FREIJE Treatment Systems, Inc. announced today that they are working with Beazer Homes in taking a “green” step in Indianapolis.  Beazer Homes is offering the FREIJE EasyWater System to potential customers in Indianapolis. EasyWater is developed and sold by FREIJE Treatment Systems, Inc.

EasyWater is a salt-free water softening system that does not remove the beneficial minerals from the water, but instead causes them to not cling to the inside of water appliances.  In addition to not using salt, EasyWater requires no chemicals or filters, further contributing to environmental preservation.  Furthermore, no drain is required with EasyWater and it saves water by not regenerating like traditional salt type water softeners.

“EasyWater is maintenance-free and requires no plumbing,” said Bill Freije, CEO for FREIJE Treatment Systems, Inc. “Along with the green benefits, this is a great option for homeowners because there also are health benefits with the absence of salt in the water.”

According to Bill, Salt softeners exchange hardness (mainly calcium and magnesium) for twice as much sodium. Because wastewater treatment plants do not remove the salt from water, the salt eventually travels into streams, rivers or aquifers.  This is why portions of Texas, Calif., Mich., Mass. and Conn. have completely or partially banned salt-type softeners.

“Beazer Homes is a top 10 homebuilder in the United States and one of the largest builders in Indiana,” said Bruce Craig, Market Manager for Beazer Homes. “Beazer continues to add ‘green’ options like EasyWater for their customers in Indiana and supports the environmentally-friendly movement in the Hoosier state.”

Located in Indianapolis, FREIJE conducts business in all of the United States and Canada. They are in their 21st year of business and service such clients as Rinnai, Frito-Lay, Arby’s  and others.  A recognized leader in the water treatment industry, FREIJE Treatment Systems, Inc. develops high-tech, no salt, chemical-free water treatment equipment for residential, commercial and industrial clients.
