We are on well water that also has rust so we don’t drink our water, will your unit work on well water and how much do they cost?

EasyWater September 21, 2011 at 1:30 pm · Reply

Hi Dennis, all of our products work great with well water! To make the very best recommendation for you, a water test should be performed first. Based on what’s in your water, we’ll then recommend the right solution, and give you a quote at that time. Give us a call at 1(877) 708-3338 for more information, or to schedule a water test.

Have had easy water for about 4 to 5 months and am still having calcium build up around fixtures. Will this go away?

EasyWater September 21, 2011 at 1:26 pm · Reply

Hi Byron, if you’re referring to the mineral staining that occurs around the base of a faucet, you’re probably seeing evaporative mineral. The EasyWater No-Salt Conditioner will make this mineral staining easier to clean, but it will still be visible. Since the No-Salt Conditioner does its best work where water is flowing, like through pipes and fixtures, rest assured that your plumbing and appliances are still free and clear of limescale build-up. If you still have questions, give us a call at 1(877) 708-3338.

What happens to the lime, calcium, magnesium & other scale forming minerals within the water once this water goes through or past your aparatus..?? The Culligan device removes the hardness by mineral substitution and is then washed out in the back-flush..
What happens to these scale-forming minerals with your device and how does laundry soap handle the water hardness at the output of your device..??

Hi Eddie, great question! While a traditional water softener will remove calcium, magnesium and other minerals and replace them with sodium, the EasyWater No-Salt Conditioner physically changes hard water minerals, so they can remain in your water without causing damage to your home’s plumbing and water-using appliances. You can read more about this process in our blog post The Problem With Limescale or give us a call at 1(877) 708-3338 to learn more. Regarding the laundry soap, you’ll be using a little bit more soap than you would if you have a traditional water softener, but less than you would if you don’t currently treat your water.

So, having lived with a traditional water softening system in the past (rented home with well water), will Easy Water leave my skin feeling like I can’t rinse off all the soap?

EasyWater September 21, 2011 at 1:04 pm · Reply

Hi Jonathan, the EasyWater No-Salt Conditioner will give a much different feel on the skin than a traditional water softener will. That slick, can’t-rinse-the-soap-off feeling is due to the sodium that traditional softeners add to water. Because our system does not use salt or add sodium to water, you won’t have that same slippery feel when using our No-Salt Conditioner. Water treated with our No-Salt Conditioner tends to feel more natural, and most (but not all) customers notice that the water feels smoother on the skin when compared to the feeling provided by untreated hard water.

I have to say that I haven’t seen anything that resembles soft water from our Easy Water. We have reattached our softener to the hot water line. In the first few weeks after installation, I discovered that I had only 9 inches of coil instead of 15. You sent a new kit but that has not made any noticeable difference.

EasyWater September 21, 2011 at 12:12 pm · Reply

Hi Marvin, thanks for letting us know about your experience. It’s important to remember that the EasyWater No-Salt Conditioner was not designed to make water “soft” on the skin in the same way that a traditional water softener will. The primary goal of our No-Salt Conditioner is to protect your home and water-using appliances by eliminating limescale build-up. We do have some customers who enjoy the slippery feel on the skin that a traditional water softener will provide, but we also have countless customers who don’t like that slippery feel, and they’re happy to find that our No-Salt Conditioner makes the water feel more natural! Since it sounds like you really like the feel of salt-softened water, keeping EasyWater installed to remove existing limescale and prevent new scale from forming, in conjunction with your water softener, will provide your home and appliances with the best protection, while giving your water the “soft” feel that you enjoy.

Will Easy Water eliminate MANGANEASE. from my well water?

EasyWater September 21, 2011 at 12:17 pm · Reply

Hi Lester, the EasyWater No-Salt Conditioner was made to treat calcium and magnesium. For manganese, you will want to install one of our Iron Shield products. Iron Shield will eliminate the staining that’s common with well water, including stains from manganese. To learn more, give us a call at 1(877) 708-3338.

I live in magnolia texas where we have water supplied by a private company with a vey high calicum base. i purchased easy water in dec 2010 and I installed the unit (very easy ) and I have to say it did take about 50-60 days for my water to become very soft and to eliminate water spots on clean dishes. WE are very pleased with the system and I thank Hannity for the advertisement that prompted me to call easy water.

EasyWater September 21, 2011 at 12:23 pm · Reply

Thanks for sharing your experience, Carl! 50-60 days is about average for the descaling process to be complete, but many customers might experience longer or shorter descaling times, based on the age of their homes and the hardness of their water.

We have look everywhere, no one knows what lemi shine is and we can’t fint it. Dave has looked everywhere. Even Kroger listed in your booklet isn’t there. Where will we find id ,short of buying some from the company direct? Thanks, Marla Mays P.S. Our appliances are really showing more deposits since we intalled it than ever . Is that normal?

EasyWater September 21, 2011 at 12:14 pm · Reply

Hi James and Marla, Lemi Shine is typically available at most grocery stores, Target and Wal-Mart. If you’re having trouble finding it, we recommend contacting Lemi Shine directly at http://www.lemishine.com. Also, check out our post on the descaling process (link to post) for answers about the deposits in your water-using appliances. You also might appreciate reading about one customer’s experience with increased water hardness immediately after installing the EasyWater No-Salt Conditioner.
